The El Paso City Council held a meeting Thursday to provide updates on the El Paso shooting.
Patrick Crucius allegedly opened fire Saturday morning at the Walmart near Cielo Vista. Twenty-two people died, and 27 others were injured.
Officers responded within six minutes.
Other agencies such as the Fire Department, El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, Texas Department Of Public Safety, Border Patrol and ATF also responded.
“The response from public safety It was hundreds upon hundreds of people on the scene. They were all agencies, local, state, federal,” said El Paso Fire Chief Mario D’Agostino.
El Paso Police Chief Greg Allen said there were initial reports of three shooters on social media. He said those reports were inaccurate and he confirmed there was only one shooter.
