CLEAT Region IV Director - Monthly Article

Brothers and Sisters,
Here we are at the start of a new year and I write to you with greetings from the CLEAT President, Chris McGill, the three new vice presidents (Todd Harrison-Austin, Lee Jackson-Fort Worth and Bobby Martinez-San Antonio) and the rest of the CLEAT Board. Let's start this year with safety on our minds and make sure that we all make it to the next with all of our brothers and sisters next to us and in good health.
CLEAT starts this year with our first member event, the 6th Annual POMF (Police Officers Memorial Foundation) Benefit Golf Tournament "Back the Blue, Hit the Green" is scheduled for Friday, March 23, at Falconhead Golf Club, 15201 Falconhead Blvd. in Austin. Check-in will be from 7 - 7:45 a.m. and the festivities start with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. The tournament with be a four-man scramble with optional mulligans. There's a field (tournament) limit of 144 players, so first come, first play. Prizes will be given to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place teams, as well as Longest Drive, Closest to Pin and Hole in One. The individual price per player is $95 (includes entry fee, cart, beverage tickets and barbecue lunch) and there is an early bird discount until February 16 of $85 per player, so hurry up and sign up. Don't forget that this event is to assist the POMF, which assists around the state with families of slain officers. This is a very worthy cause and I hope to see a few of our very own members out there.
