Contract negotiations between the City of El Paso and the El Paso Municipal Police Officers’ Association are scheduled to continue through the end of June. The two sides have had several bargaining sessions in an attempt to reach an agreement. The meetings, which are open to the public, have been video recorded to allow those who cannot attend, an opportunity to view and listen to what was discussed.
Click here to view archived sessions of the recent contract negotiations. The link will take you to the TV/Video page of the City’s website. From there go to “Archived Events” (top left) and scroll down toward the bottom to “Collective Bargaining – PD”. Use the drop down menu to select a date and then click on “Go”. You will then be asked to launch your viewer application to view the archived video recording selected.
The current collective bargaining agreement was scheduled to expire in 2012; however two memorandums of understanding signed by the parties extended the contract through August 31, 2014. The EPMPOA’s lead negotiator is Craig Deats.
