The El Paso Municipal Police Officers’ Association sadly announces the passing of retired Officer Carlos Prado #98. (Ret.) Officer Prado passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at the age of 83.
(Ret.) Officer Prado served the El Paso community as a peace officer from June 18, 1960 until retiring in September of 1980. (Ret.) Officer Prado spent the last 15 years of his career as a motorcycle officer known as "Motor 45." Mr. Prado also served proudly in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.
Funeral Services for Carlos Prado are as follows:
VISITATION: Wednesday, July 30, 2014 from 5:00 to 9:00 PM at Kaster-Maxon & Futrell Funeral Home, 8817 Dyer St.
ROSARY: Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at 7:00 PM (same location)
FUNERAL MASS: Thursday, July 31, 2014 at 12:00 PM (Noon) at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 1050 N. Clark St.
Procession following funeral Mass to Ft. Bliss National Cemetery for Internment.
