What is electronic voting?
Electronic voting is the casting of votes by electronic means as opposed to traditional media such as voting in person by paper ballot, or voting by mail. It can be done from the comfort of your home or any location where there is internet access...even from your smart phone.
Online Voting Security Features:
- Voting will only be open to active sworn members of the El Paso Municipal Police Officers' Association
- Only one vote per member is allowed by the system (no way to "stuff" the ballot box)
- Complete browser based interface
- Voter anonymity… we can only track votes of who voted (who voted, not how you voted)
- We DO NOT track the preference of the voter, so your vote will always be private (secret ballot)
- Voting database is secured by industry leading database system
Your vote matters! Please take a few minutes during this voting period (week of June 6-11, 2016) to vote for the candidate who you feel will best represent you and the entire membership as 2nd Vice President through approximately mid October 2017.
