A Day with the El Paso Police Department
Updated On: Aug 233, 2018
The El Paso Police Department is hosting a one-day event to introduce the various units of the El Paso Police Department. Static displays and active demonstrations from Community Services, Traffic and Motors, SWAT, Crisis Management Team, Bomb Squad, K-9, COMSAR, Command Post, and Police Explorers to be held throughout the day.
Officers featured on the LIVE PD show will be present for media interviews in the morning and meeting with the public. Recruiters will have a table with information on the application process. Police displays and events of interest and safety for persons of all ages will make it a family event. Food vendors will be on location at the police academy.
This is just another Community Engagement project from the Police Department. At Tuesday's City Council Meeting, Chief Greg Allen gave a presentation entitled "Making A Difference." The presentation outlined some of the many ways or events that El Paso police officers participate in, both on and off-duty as partners with our community.
