The El Paso Municipal Police Officers’ Association sadly announces the passing of retired Officer Gilbert R. Federico #134, who passed away on February 29, 2020 at the age of 80.
(Ret.) Officer Federico served the El Paso community as a peace officer for 20+ years. He was commissioned by the El Paso Police Department on May 22, 1964 and retired on September 4, 1984.
Services for (Ret.) Officer Federico will be held out of town as follows:
Tuesday, March 10, 2020:
-Visitation: 3:00 to 7:00 PM at Palm Eastern Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., Las Vegas, Nevada 89123
Wednesday, March 11, 2020:
-Funeral Mass: 10:30 AM at St. Thomas Moore Catholic Church, 130 N. Pecos Rd., Las Vegas, Nevada 89074
-Committal Service at 12:00 PM at Palm Eastern Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., Las Vegas, Nevada 89123
Locally, at 8:00 AM on Monday, March 9, 2020, the El Paso Police Department Honor Guard will raise a U.S. Flag at Police Headquarters, 911 N. Raynor St., and will fly the U.S. Flag for 24 hours in honor of Retired Officer Gilbert R. Federico.
On Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at 8:00 AM, the EPPD Honor Guard will lower the U.S. Flag and will fold it. The flag will be given to the family of Retired Patrolman Gilbert Federico
Anyone wishing to attend the raising and lowering of the United States Flag is invited to attend.
