Former El Paso Police Detective dies in crash

The El Paso Municipal Police Officers' Association extends its deepest condolences to the family, colleagues and friends of the Euless, Texas Police Detective who was killed in a crash with a suspected drunk driver in Lake Worth, Texas on Saturday afternoon, November 27, 2021.
Our sincere thoughts and prayers go out to the family of Detective Alejandro (Alex) Cervantes and the entire Euless Police Department. Detective Cervantes, who had worked with Euless PD for nearly seven years, previously worked for the El Paso Police Department for almost eight years. Detective Cervantes leaves behind a wife and two children, who were also seriously injured in the crash.
