The El Paso Municipal Police Officers’ Association sadly announces the passing of Retired Detective Armando Nava Sr., #294, who passed away on February 9, 2022 at the age of 93. Retired Detective Nava served with the El Paso Police Department for 34 years, from September 1954 until his retirement on April 8, 1988. Prior to joining the EPPD, Mr. Nava served in the U.S. Army. After his retirement with the El Paso Police Department, he worked with the Drug Enforcement Agency for ten years.

Monday, February 28, 2022:
-Visitation from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel - Central, 3839 Montana Ave.
-Eulogy at 6:00 PM
Tuesday, March 1, 2022:
-Funeral Mass at 9:00 AM at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, 4800 Byron St.
-Comittal Service following the funeral Mass at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Ave.
Retired Detective Nava will receive Retired Police Honors.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Advocacy Center For the Children of El Paso, 1100 E Cliff Dr., El Paso, Texas 79902.
