PROMOTIONAL CEREMONY

The El Paso Police Department held a promotional ceremony on President’s Day, Monday, February 20, 2012, in the Chief’s Large Conference Room at Police Headquarters.  Even though the day is a holiday for many, it was just another day at the office for El Paso’s Finest.  Plenty family members, relatives, friends, and co-workers were present as Chief Greg Allen promoted one sergeant to lieutenant, one officer to sergeant, and four officers to the detective rank.  As always, Chief Allen got right down to business.

Former Mission Valley Regional Command Center Investigations Sergeant Ricardo Medina #2014 was promoted to Lieutenant and transferred to the Westside Regional Command Center where he is currently working the dayshift.

Alfred Briones #1902, formerly an officer assigned to Criminalistics, was promoted to Sergeant and transferred to the Northeast Regional Command Center where he is now a first-line supervisor for the evening shift.

The following four members were promoted to Detective by Chief Allen:

Delia Dyer #2260, formerly of Central TAC, didn’t have far to go, after being promoted she moved upstairs and is now doing investigations for CID at the Central Regional Command Center.

Corey Balke #2723 a former officer at the Northeast Regional Command Center was promoted and moved across town where he too is working for Central CID.

Nancy Madrid #2325 formerly an officer with the Crime Scene Unit left Headquarters and is now conducting investigations for the Central Regional Command Center CID.

Erika Rodriguez #2594 also didn’t have far to go.  The former PHRC officer was promoted and moved across the hall where she is now assigned to CID at the Pebble Hills Regional Command Center.

The El Paso Municipal Police Officers’ Association congratulates all of the recently promoted members!  Best wishes and much success in your new positions.
