The El Paso Police Department held a promotional ceremony on Monday, March 19, 2012 in the Chief’s Large Conference Room at Police Headquarters. The El Paso Municipal Police Officers’ Association congratulates the two members who were promoted to Sergeant that day, Jens Rathmann #2389 and Jeffrey “JD” Cotham #1903. Both had already been doing the job on a “TDY” basis, but now they are officially first line supervisors. For now they remain at their respective commands.
Sergeant Rathmann is from the 103rdPolice Academy Class which graduated in August 2003. He is assigned to the evening shift at the Pebble Hills Regional Command Center.
Sergeant Cotham is from the 95thPolice Academy Class which graduated in April 1998. He too is on the evening shift but at the Westside Regional Command Center.
