The El Paso Municipal Police Officers’ Association is once again teaming up with the El Paso Diablos for a night of baseball and family fun at Cohen Stadium. Come support the El Paso Diablos as they take on the Winnipeg Goldeyes in an American Association of Independent Professional Baseball game. Plus, enjoy a display of fireworks right after the game as this will be a “Fireworks Friday”!
The EPMPOA has a limited number of tickets for this game and will be giving them away free to members (while supply lasts) at this Thursday night’s General Membership meeting (May 17, 2012). The tickets are for reserved seating in the Hard Ball Café section of the stadium (3rdbase side).
This week is “Police Week.” You are invited to the General Membership meeting to enjoy a steak and chicken dinner and help us honor our Fallen Officers as part of our memorial service, when we light a candle for each hero that made the ultimate sacrifice. Also, this year’s Ben Ayala Scholarship recipients will be presented with their scholarship awards! The meeting starts at 7:00 PM and dinner is served starting at approximately 6:30 PM. Working members in uniform are encouraged to go to the front of the serving line.
