The El Paso Municipal Police Officers' Association once again sadly announces the death of another retired member.  Retired Sergeant Estevan (Steve) Gomez, age 74, passed away on Thursday, January 3, 2013.    

Mr. Gomez was commissioned an El Paso Police Officer in March of 1960 and retired from the EPPD as a Sergeant in September of 1985, after 25+ years of service to the El Paso community!  His son Steve was also an officer with the El Paso Police Department for a few years.

The EPMPOA asks that you please keep the entire Gomez Family in your prayers.

Funeral services for Retired Sergeant Estevan (Steve) Gomez will take place as follows:

VISITATION:

Thursday, January 10, 2013 from 4:00 to 9:00 PM, with Rosary at 7:00 PM, at Sunset Funeral Home, 750 N. Carolina Dr.

FUNERAL MASS:

Friday, January 11, 2013 at 12 Noon, at Cristo Rey Monastery (Chapel), 145 N. Cotton St.

Immediately following the Mass, the procession for Burial will head to Mt. Carmel Cemetery, 401 S. Zaragoza Rd., for final services.  Sgt. Gomez will be laid to rest next to his beloved wife, Julie.
