El Paso, Texas – The City of El Paso has received the “Lowest Crime Rate Ranking” for a third year in a row. The El Paso Police Department is proud to announce that after reviewing crimes rates for U.S. cities with populations over 500,000, CQ Press has once again named El Paso number one -- the city with the “Lowest Crime Rate Ranking.”
This recognition spotlights both the hard work by the men and women of the El Paso Police Department and the exceptional support the EPPD receives from the El Paso community. This would not have been possible without dedicated officers and a community willing to report crime and cooperate with police investigations.
Chief of Police Greg Allen said, “All El Pasoans should be proud of this recognition as it is truly a reflection of the El Paso community."
The El Paso Municipal Police Officers' Association congratulates its members for their dedication and hard work in keeping El Paso a safe community. See the attachment for the top ten rankings by population categories for lowest and highest crime rates.
