Police Department and Home Depot Team Up to Promote Crime Prevention

El Paso, TX – The El Paso Police Department’s Pebble Hills Regional Command is teaming up with Home Depot to conduct a crime prevention event this Saturday, October 26, 2013 between the hours of 9:00a.m. and 1:00p.m. The event will take place at the Home Depot located at 11360 Rojas and will include a H.E.A.T. Drive, which stands for Help End Auto Theft. H.E.A.T. is a statewide program that allows law enforcement officers to stop a vehicle that is displaying the H.E.A.T. decals between the hours of 1:00a.m. and 5:00a.m. This is done to allow Law Enforcement to insure that the vehicle is not stolen. You will be required to show current vehicle insurance as well as a current driver’s license to take advantage of this program. The program is FREE to the public and the Police Department encourages you to attend this event.
