The El Paso Municipal Police Officers’ Association sadly announces the passing of former Sergeant Richard Thomas Pitcher #394.  Sgt. Pitcher passed away on Wednesday, February 12, 2014.  He worked with the El Paso Police Department from 1972 until he resigned in 1983.  Mr. Pitcher continued to serve the community at Child Protective Services and later as a teacher in the Catholic Diocese of El Paso.

Services for Mr. Pitcher are as follows:

VISITATION:  Tuesday, February 18, 2014 from 5:00 to 9:00 PM, with a Rosary at 6:00 PM, at Sunset Funeral Home, 750 N. Carolina Dr., El Paso, Texas

FUNERAL MASS:  Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at 9:30 AM at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 1550 N. Clark St., El Paso, Texas

INTERMENT:  At Ft. Bliss National Cemetery after church services (approximately 11:30 AM).
