On Tuesday, April 22nd, representatives from Affion Public met 
with El Paso Mayor Oscar Leeser and City Council members in Executive Session to go through selected applications and chose candidates to advance to the interview stage in the search to replace Joyce Wilson as City Manager.
 
The candidates are:

David Almonte - El Paso, Texas 
Carmen Arrieta-Candelaria - El Paso, Texas 
Fernando Costa - Fort Worth, Texas 
Tommy Gonzalez - Fort Worth, Texas 
 
On Wednesday, May 7th, from 5:30 to 8:00 PM at the Plaza Theater, the community is invited to a “meet and greet” reception in order to have the opportunity to meet the city manager candidates. 
 
Interviews will be conducted on Thursday, May 8th, by the Citizen Advisory Group, employee panel, and Mayor and Council.  Once the interviews are complete Mayor and Council will interview candidates once again and then receive feedback from the citizen advisory group chair and the employee panel chair.  Upon receiving feedback Mayor and Council will then discuss next steps with Affion Public. 
 
The City will continue to update the community as the process continues and 
information becomes available.
