Tuesday, May 27, 2014, is Election Day for the Democratic and Republican primary runoffs. The El Paso Municipal Police Officers’ Association encourages its members and their family members to go out and vote today, if you did not vote during the early voting period last week. Polls opened at 7:00 AM and will close at 7:00 PM tonight.
The EPMPOA asks that you please support the candidates endorsed by C.O.P.S. (Coalition of Public Safety officers) by voting for them! The endorsed candidates are listed under ELECTIONS on the right side panel on the EPMPOA website. Winners from today’s runoffs will advance to the November General Elections.
Members that voted in the March Democratic Primary may only vote in the Democratic runoff and those that voted in the Republican Primary may only vote in the Republican runoff. If you did not vote in either primary in March, you are eligible to vote in which ever party’s runoff you desire.
Remember to take an acceptable form of identification with you to your polling location. Members are allowed to vote on duty and in uniform.
The El Paso Municipal Police Officers’ Association thanks you for doing your civic duty.
