The 22-year-old man convicted in the crash that killed an El Paso police officer in 2010 is dropping his appeal, court records show.

Alejandro Fierro "no longer wishes to pursue his appeal," according to a request filed by his attorney, Dolph Quijano, with the state's 8th Court of Appeals.
