An El Paso police motorcycle officer was fighting for his life after being injured in a chain-reaction accident Thursday afternoon on Lee Treviño Drive, authorities said.

The accident occurred at about 3:15 p.m. while the officer was stopped in a line at a red light in the 1500 block of Lee Treviño Drive at Vista Del Sol Drive, officials said.
