A suspect was taken to University Medical Center after an officer-involved shooting in South-Central El Paso Wednesday night, police said.

Authorities said two officers fired at a man after a family disturbance was reported just after 8 p.m. on the 500 block of Huerta Street.

Police said the man charged at the officers with a knife.  The officers had to use their guns, according to police.
