The El Paso Municipal Police Officers' Association encourages its members to participate in a blood drive being held by Vitalant at the Police Academy, 2300 Scenic Drive, on Friday, June 3, 2022, from Noon to 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The blood drive will take place in Vitalant's Blood Mobiles. Donors will receive a free T-shirt and squeeze cow.
Right now, Vitalant has an urgent need for blood donors of all types to make an appointment to help save lives. The need for type "O" is especially critical. Type "O" is the most transfused blood type. "O-Negative" is what emergency room personnel reach for when there is no time to determine a patient's blood type.
