The El Paso Municipal Police Officers’ Association sadly announces the passing of Retired Police Chief Robert E. Minnie, who passed away on March 17, 2023, at the age of 95. (Ret.) Chief Minnie served with the El Paso Police Department for 27 years, from July 1950, until his retirement on January 13, 1977.

Monday, March 27, 2023:

-Viewing from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at San Jose Funeral Home - East, 10950 Pellicano Dr.

Tuesday, March 28, 2023:

-Funeral Mass at 9:00 AM at San Jose Funeral Home - East, 10950 Pellicano Dr.

-Internment at 10:30 AM at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Ave.

Retired Police Chief Robert E. Minnie will receive Retired Police Honors.
