The El Paso Municipal Police Officers' Association extends its deepest condolences to the family, loved ones, colleagues and friends of El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Detention Officer Joseph E. Gomez #8100. 

Detention Officer Gomez died on Sunday, September 22, 2019, as a result of injuries he sustained after his vehicle was struck by a suspected drunk driver. 

Funeral Services for Joseph E. Gomez are as follows:

-Sunday, September 29 2019:

-5:00 to 9:00 PM - Public Visitation, with the reciting of the Rosary at 7:00 PM, at St. Stephen Catholic Church, 1700 George Dieter Dr.

-Monday, September 30, 2019:

-Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM at St. Stephen Catholic Church, 1700 George Dieter Dr.

After the Funeral Mass, Interment graveyard services will be at Evergreen East Cemetery, 12400 Montana Ave.
