Ceremony Tuesday to honor fallen El Paso County sheriff's Deputy Peter Herrera

El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Peter Herrera, who was killed in the line of duty, will be honored Tuesday as part of the national E.O.W. Ride to Remember event.

The E.O.W. Ride to Remember is a nonprofit organization whose members travel across the country to cities in which a law enforcement officer died in the line of duty the previous year.

The event will begin at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office headquarters at 3850 Justice Drive, officials said.
