El Paso police officer arrested on suspicion of helping local drug distributor

An El Paso police officer was arrested Friday on suspicion of helping a local drug distributor further his criminal enterprise.
El Paso police officer Monica Garcia, 23, is charged on suspicion of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute cocaine, conspiracy to unlawfully use a communication facility and conspiracy to maintain a drug involved premise.
