Man who broke into east El Paso business dies after struggle with police

A man died in El Paso police custody Monday after a taser was used on him as he was resisting arrest.

According to police, witnesses reported seeing the man attempting to break into the Lunch Box in the 3600 block of Buckner around 5:40 p.m. Monday.

A responding officer commanded the man to stop, but he forced the door of the business open and ran inside, police said.
