Former El Paso police officer pleads guilty of helping stepfather distribute cocaine

A former El Paso police officer pleaded guilty on Monday of helping her stepfather distribute and store cocaine while she was on the job.

According to court documents, Monica Garcia, 24, conspired with Fred Saenz, her stepfather and co-defendant, to use Saenz’s residence to distribute cocaine.

Investigators found out that Saenz used his residence and a separate stash location to store and distribute cocaine, a news release from the United States Department of Justice stated.
