The El Paso City Council voted Tuesday to approve renaming the El Paso police headquarters after late police chief Gregory K. Allen.
Allen's widow Roseanne Allen was present at the city council meeting as well as interim police chief Peter Pacillas.
“Chief Allen was my friend. I had the highest respect for that man,” said council member Joe Molinar. “So I miss my friend Greg Allen."
Pacillas spoke on behalf of Roseanne and her family and expressed their gratitude to the city council.
