There were several important elections this year, both internally and externally. In fact, there is a City Runoff Election happening right now. The last day to vote during early voting is on Tuesday, December 8. Election Day is on Saturday, December 12, 2020. Polls will be open that day from 7 AM to 7 PM.

Sergeant Williams served with the El Paso Police Department for 26+ years, from September 1967 until his retirement on July 29, 1994.

The Open Enrollment period for insurance benefits will take place from November 2 through 20, 2020. Elections made during Open Enrollment will be effective January 1, 2021 and the new adjusted rates will begin on the January 8, 2021 paycheck.
Due to COVID-19 there will be no on-site or in-person sessions. There will also be no walk-ins allowed while City Hall is closed.
The El Paso Police Department has added twenty-nine (29) officers to their ranks after the graduation of the 127th academy class on Monday, October 26, 2020. This class also graduated two Fire Marshalls assigned to the El Paso Fire Department. The new police officers have been assigned to patrol duties at the various Police Regional Command Centers.
