Police in El Paso say they’re disturbed after two officers were given food with a disrespectful picture drawn on it. In a Facebook post Sunday night, an El Paso police officer said he and his partner ordered dinner at The Pizza Joint in downtown El Paso. But the officers said this pizza came with something extra.

The El Paso Municipal Police Officers' Association held a special election May 10-16, 2020 for the office of Second Vice President (Executive Board - Class I Director).   The election for Second Vice President was conducted via online electronic voting at www.epmpoa.org.

The El Paso Municipal Police Officers’ Association held a virtual (online) Board of Directors meeting on Tuesday, April 14, 2020.   As per the City's "Work Safe, Stay Home" directive, now extended through May 17, 2020, the EPMPOA has no choice but to cancel the General Membership meeting scheduled for 7:00 PM on Thursday, April 16, 2020.

The 7th Annual EPMPOA Fallen Officers Memorial Run will be "virtual" this year due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.  Sponsored in part by Texas 635 and 1-800-BoardUp, it will "take place" virtually anytime now and before Midnight on Saturday, May 16, 2020. You can chose to participate in the 1 Mile walk, a 5K Run and an 8K Run.

The annual National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund Candlelight Vigil will take place virtually this year due to the COVID-19 (coronavirus) public health crisis. For over thirty years, the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund has held a Candlelight Vigil to honor those who have died in the line of duty. This year, the names of fallen U.S.

In accordance with Article IV, Section 8, of the Bylaws of the El Paso Municipal Police Officers' Association and with consent of the Board of Directors, a "Special Election" for Second Vice President (Executive Board - Class I Director) will be held the week of May 10 - 16, 2020.

The El Paso Municipal Police Officers’ Association sadly announces the passing of Retired Sergeant Antonio Peralta Jr., #158.  He passed away on April 21, 2020, at the age of 77 after a lengthy illness.  (Ret.) Sgt. Peralta served with the El Paso Police Department for 21+ years, from February 1966 until his retirement on November 21, 1987.

An officer with the El Paso Police Department tested positive for the coronavirus, according to police officials. The police officer was not identified.  Officials said the officer got the virus while on duty. Results for the police officer where known of earlier in April.

The El Paso Municipal Police Officers' Association would like to thank Texas 635 for their sponsorship with assisting in the purchase of 300 gallons of disinfectant and spray bottles. The disinfectant, germicidal detergent and deodorant will be used by members department-wide against a broad spectrum of pathogens, to hopefully include the corona virus (COVID-19).

After much consideration and discussion, the El Paso Municipal Police Officers’ Association has made the difficult decision to cancel the Board of Directors meeting scheduled for 1:00 PM this afternoon (March 17, 2020), as well as the General Membership meeting scheduled for 7:00 PM on Thursday, March 19, 2020.
