The El Paso Municipal Police Officers' Association extends its deepest condolences to the families, colleagues and friends of the Dallas Police Department and Dallas Area Rapid Transit Police Department police officers who were ambushed and killed on Thursday evening.


The El Paso Police Department held a Promotions Ceremony on Monday, June 27, 2016 at the EPMPOA Memorial Hall. Thirteen members were promoted up the ladder!  David Gomez was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant.

The El Paso Municipal Police Officers' Association invites members and their families to the 2nd Annual First Responders & Superhero Night with the El Paso Chihuahuas this Saturday, June 11, 2016 at Southwest University Park.  The Chihuahuas face off against the Sacramento River Cats.  Game time is 7:05 PM.

The El Paso Municipal Police Officers’ Association selected four high school seniors to receive this year's scholarships from the EPMPOA Ben Ayala Scholarship Fund. The scholarships are awarded to graduating high school seniors who are the sons or daughters of EPMPOA members.  Scholarships are awarded annualy during the month of May at the general membership meeting.

In accordance with Article IV, section 8, of the Bylaws of the El Paso Municipal Police Officer's Association; and with consent of the Board of Directors, a special election for the office of 2nd Vice President will take place the week of June 6-11, 2016.   The special election is to fill the unexpired term of former 2nd V.P.

Tuesday, May 24, 2016 is Election Day for the Primary Runoffs.  The El Paso Municipal Police Officers' Association urges members and their families to please go to their polling place and cast your votes.

The El Paso Municipal Police Officers’ Association and the El Paso Police Department will hold the Annual Fallen Officers Memorial Ceremony at 9:00 AM on Friday, May 20, 2016, at Chuck Heinrich Park, located at 11055 Andrew Barcena Dr.  The park and the street on which it is located are both named in honor of fallen El Paso Police Officers.

The 3rd Annual EPMPOA Fallen Officer Memorial Run will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2016.  This year the race will honor Officer Ernesto Serna and Officer David Ortiz, as well as all of the other EPPD fallen heroes.  The race(s) will begin and end at the EPMPOA Memorial Hall, 3601 Rutherglen St.  Races coordinated through Race Adventures Unlimited.

The El Paso Municipal Police Officers' Association urges members and their families to attend the "We Remember - Memorial Bicycle Trek Across Texas" Remembrance Ceremony on Friday, April 29, 2016 at 7:15 PM at the Mission Valley Regional Command Center, 9011 Escobar Dr.
