The El Paso Municipal Police Officers’ Association sadly announces the passing of retired Officer Jose M. Duron at the age of 72.
(Ret.) Officer Duron served the El Paso community as a peace officer with the El Paso Police Department for 23 years. He was commissioned in December of 1966 and retired in October of 1989.

The El Paso Municipal Police Officers' Association is helping get the word out on a benefit raffle being held to assist a sister officer in need. The raffle, organized by Officer David Amparan #2173, has been set up to assist Officer Guadalupe (Lupe) Diaz #1436.

There is no longer room on our memorial for fallen officers. I hope and pray we will never add another name to our Honor Roll Call; however doing the job we do, protecting our community and those that cannot protect themselves, the reality is that we may one day have to.

(Ret.) Officer Gil served the El Paso community as a peace officer with the El Paso Police Department from December 2006 until being medically retired in September 2011.

(Ret.) Officer Fox served the El Paso community as a peace officer from May 1974 until his retirement in April 1995.

The 2nd annual EPMPOA Fallen Officers Memorial run, which started and ended at the El Paso Municipal Police Officers’ Memorial Hall, took the hundreds of runners and walkers through parts of east El Paso on Saturday May 23rd. The run, which actually consisted of a 10K run, a 5K run and a 1 mile walk, was held to honor our fallen police officers.
