Matt Jones is a loving father, devoted son, loyal friend and a proud member of the El Paso Police Department.  On April 15th, Matt suffered a severe stroke to the left sid of his brain caused by a blood clot that traveled into his coronary artery.  Later that evening, the great doctors, nurses and medical staff at the Las Palmas Hospital performed surgery to clear the blockage.

A jury has awarded nearly $3.2 million in damages to the parents of an El Paso police officer killed in 2012, finding both the officer and the truck driver the family sued negligent in the incident. Read more of this breaking news story from the El Paso Times.

The El Paso Municipal Police Officers’ Association sadly announces the passing of Detective Arthur H. Spindler #2048.  Detective Spindler, age 55, passed away on Friday, March 27, 2015.  Detective Spindler served the El Paso community as a peace officer for 16 years; he was commissioned on March 19, 1999.
