The El Paso Municipal Police Officers’ Association sadly announces the passing of Officer Raul Pineda Sr., #2767, who passed away on June 5, 2022 at the age of 56 after losing a valiant battle against cancer. Officer Pineda served with the El Paso Police Department for almost 14 years, from July 2, 2008, until his untimely death.

(Ret.) Canine "Nero" served the El Paso community as a police dog for 9+ years. He was commissioned by the El Paso Police Department on June 6, 2011 and retired on October 26, 2020.
