The El Paso Municipal Police Officers’ Association sadly announces the passing of retired Detective Bruce A. Mathis #96. Det. (Ret) Mathis passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2013. He worked with the El Paso Police Department from June 1960 until his retirement in September 1981.

The Junior Woman’s Club of El Paso is hosting the 11th Annual “Spring Swing” Golf Tournament on Friday, May 3, 2013 at Painted Dunes Desert Golf Course.
The El Paso Municipal Police Officers’ Association is once again sponsoring a 4-person team to participate in this tournament. The cost is $100.00 per player ($400.

(Coalition of Public Safety) would be endorsing for the upcoming City elections.
The El Paso Municipal Police Officers' Association and the El Paso County Sheriff's Officers Association are sponsoring the "Top Dog" 2013 Flag Football Tournament. The tournament, for Law Enforcement employees only, will take place at Yucca Park on June 1st and 2nd.

The Officer Jonathan K. Molina scholarship fund has been set up for students graduating from the Sandra Day O'Connor Criminal Justice/ Public Service Academy at Austin High School, city Rep. Susie Byrd announced Monday. Officer Molina was described as a perfect role model for the Sandra Day O'Connor Academy at Austin High School.
