The El Paso Municipal Police Officers’ Association sadly announces the passing of Retired Officer Genaro Hernandez #174, who passed away on March 13, 2021 at the age of 79. (Ret.) Officer Hernandez served with the El Paso Police Department for 26 years, from July 1967 until his retirement in June 1993. Prior to joining the EPPD, (Ret.) Officer Hernandez served in the U.S.
