The El Paso Municipal Police Officers’ Association sadly announces the passing of Retired Detective Pedro "Pete" Valdez Jr., #312, who passed away on November 3, 2020. (Ret.) Detective Valdez served with the El Paso Police Department for 21+ years, from September 1971 until his retirement on November 19, 1992. After retiring from the police department, (Ret.) Detective Valdez worked with the El Paso County Probation Department. He also served in the U.S. Army and was a Vietnam Veteran. 

Funeral Services for (Ret.) Detective Pedro "Pete" Valdez Jr. are as follows:

Monday, November 23, 2020:

-Visitation from 1:00 to 4:00 PM at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 N. Carolina Dr.

Due to COVID-19, visitation is limited to immediate family members only.

Tuesday, November 24, 2020:

-Interment Service at 10:30 AM at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Ave.

A memorial service with full military police honors will be held at a later date.
