El Paso police academy underway after canceled last year due to COVID-19

The El Paso Police Academy usually happens two times a year, where recruits train to become police officers. But last year COVID-19 canceled one of those academies and now the department said they need officers.
“They are here five days a week, times adjust depending on the type of training we are having, but five days a week, for the most part, Monday through Friday,” El Paso Police academy instructor Joe Lopez said.
