The El Paso Municipal Police Officers’ Association sadly announces the passing of Retired Lieutenant Carlos Pinon #53, who passed away on March 9, 2023, at the age of 88. (Ret.) Lieutenant Pinon served with the El Paso Police Department for 28 years, from November 1958, until his retirement on November 7, 1986. He then went on to become a court bailiff for another ten years.

The El Paso Municipal Police Officers' Association is sponsoring a fundraising cookout (hamburger/hotdog, chips, side, and drink) to benefit Detective Salvador Dominguez #973. It is being hosted at the Westside Regional Command Center on Friday, February 3, 2023, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

The El Paso Municipal Police Officers’ Association sadly announces the death of El Paso Police Chief Gregory K. Allen #646, who passed away on January 17, 2023, at the age of 71. Chief Allen served with the El Paso Police Department for 44+ years, from April of 1978, until his untimely death last week. Mr.

The El Paso Municipal Police Officers' Association encourages all members to attend the El Paso Police Department's Promotion Ceremony at 10:00 AM on Monday, January 30, 2023.  The ceremony will take place at the El Paso County 911 District (Communications Center) at 6055 Threadgill Ave.

The El Paso Municipal Police Officers' Association will hold a Candlelight Vigil in memory of Police Chief Greg Allen. The vigil will be held during the General Membership meeting on Thursday, January 19, 2023, at the Memorial Hall, 3601 Rutherglen St. The meeting starts at approximately 7:00 PM. The candlelight vigil is not open to media or the general public.

The El Paso Municipal Police Officers' Association extends its deepest condolences to the family, colleagues and friends of El Paso Police Department Chief Greg Allen. Chief Allen was recovering from a medical procedure at a local hospital and unfortunately died suddenly. Chief Allen was El Paso Police Chief for approximately fifteen years after moving up through the ranks.
