The El Paso Municipal Police Officers’ Association sadly announces the passing of retired Sergeant Robert S. McWhorter #272, who passed away on April 2, 2022, at the age of 80.   (Ret.) Sergeant McWhorter served the El Paso community as a peace officer for 22+ years.

The El Paso Municipal Police Officers' Association is sponsoring a fundraising cookout to benefit MVRC Officer Raul Pineda #2767. It is being hosted at the Mission Valley Regional Command Center, 9011 Escobar Dr., on Friday, March 18, 2022, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

The El Paso Police Department added thirty-six (36) officers to their ranks after the graduation of the 128th Police Academy Class. Their Graduation Ceremony was held on Monday, February 28, 2022 at the Ysleta Independent School District (YISD) Theater. The new, and much needed, officers have been assigned to patrol duties on varying shifts at the five Police Regional Command Centers in town.

The El Paso Municipal Police Officers’ Association sadly announces the passing of Retired Detective Armando Nava Sr., #294, who passed away on February 9, 2022 at the age of 93. Retired Detective Nava served with the El Paso Police Department for 34 years, from September 1954 until his retirement on April 8, 1988. Prior to joining the EPPD, Mr. Nava served in the U.

The blood drive will take place in Vitalant's Blood Mobile, parked in the Davita Dialysis parking lot. Donors will receive a free T-shirt.

Sergeant Krieger served with the El Paso Police Department for approximately 22 years, from October 1955 until his retirement on May 22, 1977.
