(Ret.) Sergeant McWhorter served the El Paso community as a peace officer for 22+ years.

The El Paso Police Department added thirty-six (36) officers to their ranks after the graduation of the 128th Police Academy Class. Their Graduation Ceremony was held on Monday, February 28, 2022 at the Ysleta Independent School District (YISD) Theater.
The new, and much needed, officers have been assigned to patrol duties on varying shifts at the five Police Regional Command Centers in town.
