The El Paso Municipal Police Officers’ Association sadly announces the passing of retired Detective George Drennan #295, who passed away on January 15, 2021 at the age of 71.
(Ret.) Detective Drennan served the El Paso community as a peace officer for 21+ years. He was commissioned by the El Paso Police Department in September of 1971 and retired on June 1, 1993.
The El Paso Police Department Honor Guard will raise a United States flag at the El Paso Police Academy at 8:00 AM on Thursday, August 26, 2021, and fly the flag for 24 hours in honor of Retired Detective Drennan.
On Friday, August 27, 2021, at 8:00 AM, the EPPD Honor Guard will lower the U.S. Flag and will fold it. The folded flag will then be given to his family.
Anyone wishing to attend the raising and/or lowering of the United States Flag is invited to attend.
