The El Paso Municipal Police Officers' Association extends its deepest condolences to the family, colleagues and friends of Alamogordo, New Mexico Police Officer Anthony Ferguson. He was shot early Saturday morning, July 15, 2023, while assisting other officers in locating a vehicle that fled during a traffic stop in Alamogordo. Officer Ferguson subsequently died at University Medical Center here in El Paso on Sunday night after being shot in the line of duty.

Officer Ferguson, who was 41 years old, was an 11-year veteran with the Alamogordo Police Department and was a Field Training Officer. 

Our sincere thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of fallen Officer Anthony Ferguson, and to the entire Alamogordo, New Mexico Police Department.
