Posted On: Mar 01, 2022
The El Paso Police Department added thirty-six (36) officers to their ranks after the graduation of the 128th Police Academy Class. Their Graduation Ceremony was held on Monday, February 28, 2022 at the Ysleta Independent School District (YISD) Theater.
The new, and much needed, officers have been assigned to patrol duties on varying shifts at the five Police Regional Command Centers in town. The 128th Academy Class graduated nine female officers and twenty-seven male officers, all of whom signed up as members of the El Paso Municipal Police Officers' Association. The El Paso Police Department now has approximately 1,154 officers. Congratulations on an incredible accomplishment! Please stay safe and healthy!
