The 2nd annual EPMPOA Fallen Officers Memorial run, which started and ended at the El Paso Municipal Police Officers’ Memorial Hall, took the hundreds of runners and walkers through parts of east El Paso on Saturday May 23rd. The run, which actually consisted of a 10K run, a 5K run and a 1 mile walk, was held to honor our fallen police officers. This year’s run was dedicated to the memory of Officer Adrian Arellano, as well as that of our other fallen heroes.
Several citizens ran alongside El Paso Police officers. "With all the protests over the last year, it's nice to see all the support," said Ron Martin, president of the EPMPOA. "I think people really appreciate the job we do day in and day out."
Money raised during the run goes toward enhancing the Police Memorial at Charles “Chuck” Heinrich Park. The EPMPOA would also like to thank all of the businesses that helped sponsor this event. Thank you for all of the support!
