“The President”
First and foremost I would like to say thank you to all the officers who took time out of their busy schedules to cast their votes for the Executive Board - Class I Director positions. This vote, once gain, was one of the largest turnouts in the history of the El Paso Municipal Police Officers' Association's elections. I promise to dedicate myself to you, your families, and to the growth of our Association. Having walked in your shoes for a little over 21 years, I understand the daily struggles you and your loved ones face. You’re not strangers to me, you are my family and I take care of family.
There have been numerous rumors floating around and it is time to put them to rest once again. In 2009 you voted me into office with 69% of the votes, and once again in 2011 you re-elected me with 74% of the votes. Your voices have been heard loud and clear. My promise once again is to work with every board member you have elected without contempt or reprisal, if they are truly here for the officers. You, the fine men and women of this department, have spoken and elected me with the continued hope and trust to take this Association to the next level. We will work together as a team and forge a new horizon for the El Paso Municipal Police Officers' Association and our families. I have faith in officers and the “Family in Blue” and trust that loyalty and a sense of duty will steer us in the right direction.
