El Paso police Officer Slade Davis looks for the bright spots amid the illness, worry and fear in this time of the coronavirus pandemic.
Face masks, protective eyewear, twice-a-shift temperature checks and social distancing have become a part of police work for Davis as much as a badge, a gun and a bulletproof vest.
"This is to help you help others, that’s right along with my job," Davis said in April 2020, referring to the gear and measures intended to curb the spread of the virus.
