The El Paso Municipal Police Officers’ Association sadly announces the passing of Retired Lieutenant Antonio "Tony" R. Franco, who passed away on October 15, 2023, at the age of 89. Retired Lieutenant Franco served with the El Paso Police Department for 31+ years, from February 1960 until his retirement on June 8, 1991.

Funeral services for Retired Lieutenant Antonio R. Franco are as follows:

Wednesday, October 25, 2023:

-Viewing from 5:00 to 6:00 PM at Martin Funeral Home-East, 1460 George Dieter Dr.

-Vigil at 6:00 PM

Thursday, October 26, 2023:

-Funeral Mass at 12:00 PM at St. Raphael Catholic Church, 2301 Zanzibar Rd.

-Interment following the Mass (approximately 1:30 PM) at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, 401 S. Zaragoza Rd.

Retired Lieutenant Antonio "Tony" R. Franco will receive Retired Police Honors.
